Jim Spence brings over four decades of legal experience to the firm in his role as Of Counsel.  A former Assistant General Counsel to the State Bar of Georgia, Jim specializes in professional responsibility, bar disciplinary matters, bar applicant fitness matters and general civil litigation. He also drafts wills and represents estates. Jim earned his B.A. from Emory University and J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law. Following law school, Jim served a clerkship with the Honorable Elbert Tuttle, then a senior judge with the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. A member of both the Florida and Georgia state bars, he served as a part-time magistrate for DeKalb County from 1988 to 2013. Jim is qualified as a general and domestic mediator by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and conducts mediations.
